Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Our cardiac catheterization lab uses digital X-ray and intra-arterial ultrasound equipment to provide comprehensive diagnostic and interventional cardiac care. We also have specialized equipment to clear thrombus in coronary and peripheral blood vessels as well as tools to measure blood flow to the heart to determine the most appropriate course of care.
To conduct these procedures, a cardiologist inserts a catheter into an artery (arm or leg) and follows this artery to the patient's heart for imaging of heart function and blood circulation in the coronary (heart) arteries.
The Cardiac Cath Lab at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center is capable of interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures (such as angioplasty and stent placement), both elective and emergent. Interventional services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Results of the test are immediately available to the patient and family. The lab also performs pacemaker procedures.
