Banner Del E. Webb employees and volunteers collected more than 4,600 bottles of water to help those in need.

The water was packed up and sent to Banner Olive Branch Senior Center in Sun City, and to a domestic violence shelter.

The donation comes as all nonprofit groups face cuts in funding and both the senior center and shelter welcome the generous gift.

Every three months, Banner Del E. Webb asks people to clean out their cupboards and closets and donate nonperishable food items and gently used clothing.

Telephone Reassurance: Our volunteers help keep hundreds of people safe at home.

Participants call in to the hospital every morning between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

If they don't call, a volunteer will try to contact them. If there is still no answer, other attempts will be made to make sure the person is safe. Once, our volunteers were able to help a person who was having a stroke.
