About our hospital
Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center is home to 1,600 employees, 650 physicians and 2,000 volunteers. Each year, we treat 53,00 patients in our Emergency department and about 20,000 inpatients.
Please take a moment to view this information about what's new at Banner Del E. Webb in 2009 and how the opening of our new wing will affect you and your patients. This brochure is also available to print and share with your patients.
Since its founding in 1988, Banner Del E. Webb has broadened its medical services to accomodate the increase in the number of families moving into our communities. We now include:
- The Louisa Kellam Center for Women's Health, which provides service to all generations.
- The Nesting Place Obstetrical Suites dedicated entirely to expectant mothers
- We also provide, emergency care, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, cancer care, state-of-the-art medical imaging services, outpatient services, physical rehabilitation and behavioral services.
With the opening of our new wing, Banner Del E. Webb becomes the eighth largest hospital in the Valley, adding 72 beds to its existing 332. This addition houses our new main entrance and lobby and ED on the first floor; a new PACU on the second floor, and telemetry on the third and fourth floors. Floors five and six are shelled in and their use will be determined by community need.
In 2008, Del E. Webb joined the Banner Health, a nonprofit health care system with 22 hospitals throughout the Web. This video, Here, Now, Making a Difference gives a great view of how Banner fulfills its mission of making a difference in people's lives through excellent patient care.
