Baseball legend to share hip replacement story at Banner CORE Center for Orthopedics Open House

Banner Del E. Webb launches valet service for patients
SUN CITY WEST (Nov. 1, 2011) – Halloween brought new treat for patients visiting the Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center women's center and day-surgery. The nonprofit hospital launched a pilot program this month that will provide an added level of service for its patients, as a free valet service started Oct. 31 at the Lousia Kellam Center for Women’s Health entrance. American Valet serves that entrance 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Banner Del E. Webb welcomes new mobile breast MRI unit
SUN CITY WEST (Oct. 14, 2011) – For three days every week, a new mobile breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit is now on campus of Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center located at 14502 W. Meeker Blvd. Sun City West, adding an additional layer of detection for patients. The unit is available for exams Fridays, Mondays and Tuesdays.

Early Detection Saves Lives: Panel explores new breast imagine options
SUN CITY WEST (Oct. 4, 2011) – The earlier breast cancer is detected, the greater the chance for recovery and survival. While the yearly mammogram is still the gold standard for early detection, there are other imaging techniques that when used in conjunction with mammography can provide an earlier diagnosis. A panel of experts and physicians will discuss these new techniques from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, 14502 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West. Remembrance Day helps parents cope with loss
SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. (Oct. 3, 2011) – Whether a baby lives just a few short weeks in the womb, or lives only a single minute on this earth, they are still children in the hearts of their mothers. SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. (May 3, 2010) – Yearly mammograms save lives by detecting breast cancer at its earliest and most treatable stage. Sometimes however, the mammogram does not provide clear information for a diagnosis. For women with questionable mammograms, this can be an agonizing time until either MRI or biopsy determines whether the mass is cancerous or benign. Now, there is a new option in the Valley these women – Breast Specific Gamma Imaging (BSGI).

Telephone Reassurance program volunteers offer community lifeline
SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. (Dec. 9, 2009) – Not too long ago, Grace Heston walked into the Volunteer Services office at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, 14502 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, looking for her lifeline – a woman named Arlene Weatherton. The two felt as if they were old friends, but had never actually met even though they speak with each other by phone at least once a week. In fact, Weatherton and her colleagues who answer the Telephone Reassurance phone lines at the nonprofit medical center chat with more than 100 people each morning.

Renal cryoablation now offered at Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb
SUN CITY, Ariz. (Oct. 28, 2008) – Patients in the northwest Valley with kidney cancer now have a new option to treat their tumors. This week, Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers began offering interventional renal cryoablation, a minimally invasive treatment that freezes and kills tumors without surgery.
