Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center is nationally certified as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission. This means our evidence-based stroke care follows the guidelines published by the American Stroke Association.

A vital element of the our care is our organized Stroke Team, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, that begins treating stroke patients immediately. The team follows special triage and timeline standards to treat stroke victims quickly and efficiently.

We have dedicated Stroke Care Units staffed with specially trained neurological technologists and nurses. We offer a wide variety of diagnostic tools, including electroencephalography (EEG), echocardiogram, CT or MRI and doppler ultrasound. These tools help us monitor patients to determine if stroke damage is causing seizures or other neurological conditions.

Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center also offers a comprehensive rehabilitation programs that help stroke patients regain physical and speech functions.
