Safe Patient Handling and Movement
One thing you will notice during your stay or that of a loved one, is that we put patient safety at the forefront of care. When you are a patient you may feel weak and may not be able to walk or move about without help or assistance. "Safe Patient Handling and Movement" is a way to help move and transfer patients. It is an approach that puts safety first. The nursing and therapy staff may use special types of equipment that are made just for the moving and transferring of patients.
