Prostate Screening Nov. 14

Banner Desert Medical Center, in association with the Copperstate Mustang Car Club, is hosting a Prostate Cancer Screening and Classic Car Show from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 14 on the Banner Desert campus.

More than 190,000 new cases of prostate cancer have been diagnosed in 2009. Banner Desert Cancer Center is offering this screening so men can find out if they have prostate cancer at an early stage.

It is important to remember that your doctor does not necessarily think you have cancer if he or she suggests a screening test. Screening tests are given when you have no cancer symptoms. Screening tests may be repeated on a regular basis.
