Sandra Zaky, MS, MD
Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Sandra Zaky joined Banner Desert Cancer Center for its  commitment to high-tech, high touch cancer care. She was named medical director in 2012. Her philosophy is to offer patients expertise and support, while providing compassionate and comprehensive care. Proficient in stereotactic radiosurgery, mammosite brachytherapy and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) treatment options, Zaky is excited to help Banner Desert Cancer Center patients with these unique and powerful treatment options.

Zaky is a graduate of Albany Medical College in New York, with a Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Science in Immunology.  She completed her residency and internship in radiation oncology at Emory University Medical Center in Atlanta. 

She is a member of the American Society of Radiation Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Medical Association and the American College of Radiology.

Anderson Bauer, MD
Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Anderson Bauer joined the Banner Desert Cancer Center team in 2012. He has extensive training in intensity modulated radiation treatment, stereotactic radiosurgery, and brachytherapy. He has performed research in breast cancer, prostate cancer, malignant brain tumors, and quality improvement/patient safety.

As a child of two cancer survivors,  Bauer greatly values addressing the emotional needs of patients while providing up-to-date, high quality care.

He received his Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison followed by completion of medical school and Radiation Oncology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
