The Emergency department at Banner Desert Medical Center is proud to serve the emergency care needs of East Valley residents. Featuring board-certified emergency physicians, specialty-trained nurses and support staff, Banner Desert’s Emergency department is well-equipped to diagnose and treat a patient’s specific injury or illness. In fact, we treat more emergencies than any other hospital in Arizona. Our staff is committed to treating patients medical conditions thoroughly and efficiently and always with Banner’s mission in mind – to provide safe, excellent patient care.

At Banner Desert, we recognize that emergencies are not planned and are often stressful situations. That’s why we’re working to make sure a patient’s visit goes as smoothly as possible. We’re working to improve the design of our Emergency department as well as our processes in order to ensure that patients are seen by a physician and receive care as quickly as possible.

Cardon Children's Medical Center provides emergency care to pediatric patients. We recognize that children are not small adults and that they require specialized care. That’s why we have a dedicated Pediatric Emergency department that is staffed by board-certified pediatric emergency physicians.

Communication plays a key role in a patient’s successful course of treatment in the Emergency department. Language and interpretive services are available at all Banner facilities; please ask the nurse or Emergency department receptionist about these services.
