Pulmonary Services at Banner Desert Medical Center specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of problems relating to the lungs.
Our Pulmonary Services unit offers comprehensive therapeutic and diagnostic services to adults with disorders of the respiratory system.
Our highly qualified team includes:

- diagnostic technicians
Our Pulmonary Services include treatments and diagnosis such as:
Arterial blood gas analysis (ABG) is testing most often performed to evaluate respiratory diseases and other conditions that affect the lungs as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of oxygen therapy.
Asthma-clinical syndrome is characterized by airway obstruction (which is partially or completely reversible), airway inflammation and airway hyper responsiveness to a variety of stimuli.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a disease characterized by the presence of airflow obstruction resulting from chronic bronchitis or emphysema. Symptoms of COPD, chronic cough and phlegm production are more common in smokers than in nonsmokers.
Pulmonary Diagnostic Testing is often a series of tests which evaluate how well the lungs are performing. These tests may be performed to help diagnose disease, to monitor disease progression, or therapeutic intervention over time, to evaluate disability, or as a variable in research studies.
Each of us want to get all we can out of life, to take advantage of every opportunity life has to offer; however, illness and disability can make this difficult. Maintaining good physical conditioning can be an important tool to help you achieve the most out of life.
