Dr. Paul Barnard is Banner Desert Sleep Center’s founding physician and current Medical Director. Dr. Barnard completed medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. He completed his internal medicine residency and pulmonary fellowship at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix. Since 1987, Dr. Barnard has practiced both pulmonary and sleep medicine in Phoenix Arizona’s East Valley. Dr. Barnard is the former chairman of the Critical Care Service Committee at Banner Desert Medical Center, and served as a member of the Executive Committee. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and sleep medicine. Phoenix Magazine has listed Dr. Barnard in the Phoenix Top Doc List more than ten times over the years; most recently in years 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Walter Castro, MD
A graduate of San Martin de Porres University School of Medicine in Peru, Dr. Walter Castro completed his residency at San Juan City Hospital Pediatric Training Program in Puerto Rico. Dr. Castro is a board certified pediatrician. He completed additional training in pediatric pulmonology and specializes in asthma, chronic cough, recurrent pneumonia, apnea in newborns, chronic lung disease, mechanical ventilation and breathing abnormalities in children including young athletes. He also has training in sleep medicine. He specializes in abnormal sleep breathing disorders and other conditions such as narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, sleep walking, sleep talking, night terrors and insomnia.
Diana Go, MD
A graduate of University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, Dr. Diana Go completed her residency and internship at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York. Dr. Go is board certified and specializes in the treatment of airway and lung problems as well as sleep problems in children.
