Banner Estrella Medical Center is a unique facility, offering multiple amenities to our patients through our in-room services. Personal items that might be useful to ensure a comfortable stay include:
- Comfortable shoes/slippers/socks
- Personal hygiene items such as shampoo, toothbrush or toothpaste
- Names and dosage of medications taken on a regular basis
- Glasses, dentures, hearing aid or other assistive devices
- A small amount of cash to purchase reading materials or snacks
Banner Estrella Medical Center was designed to provide the most pleasant experience possible during recovery and does provide personal terry cloth robes and patient gowns in one of four colors for each patient.
Banner Estrella also believes in the importance of family and friends' participation in a patient's recovery. Each patient room features a convertible sofa-bed, extra pillows, sheets and blankets, extra storage and free Internet connectivity for a family member who might need to bring their personal computers.
What not to bring...
We urge all patients to leave their valuables at home when being admitted to the hospital. If there are items on site that are valuable, ask a nurse to contact the security department where those items can be locked in a safe until discharge.
Banner Estrella Medical Center cannot be responsible for personal items, and asks patients not to bring:
- Jewelry or other valuables
- A lot of money or extra credit cards
- Personal electronics
Banner Estrella provides Internet connectivity to our patients through their private patient room 30-inch flat screen television, which also features pay-per-day movies, premium cable, online games and music channels. Patients can request a keyboard from their caregiver to utilize the Internet while in the hospital.
