Dr. Michael J. Orris, DO, MBA, FASMBS
General and Bariatric Surgeon
Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Michael Orris completed his surgical residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. As a surgeon he recognized the negative impact that excess weight has on society, and developed a passion for helping patients attain and maintain a healthy body weight.
Every year, Dr. Orris successfully performs hundreds of weight loss surgeries. His patients benefit from his years of bariatric surgery experience and the personal intensity he brings to every case. With his vast knowledge in the field of bariatric surgery, Dr. Orris is well-known for accepting complicated and challenging cases.
Dr. Orris believes in personalized total patient care, and provides a comprehensive approach to overall health and well-being. He holds a directorship of bariatric surgery, is a fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and is a board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He also holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration from St. Joseph’s University.
Dr. John J. DeBarros, MD, F.A.C.S.
General and Bariatric Surgeon
Dr. DeBarros believes in the axiom “success, not just surgery, should be our goal.” He sees the negative stigma and the adverse medical impact that obesity has had on patients and their families. It is for this reason he is devoted to a comprehensive surgical weight loss management program that emphasizes caring as part of the journey to restored health.
Dr. John DeBarros is an experienced surgeon and board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of The American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeons, The American College of Surgeons, The Society of Laparoendoscopic surgeons and the Maricopa Medical Society.
Dr. DeBarros was born and raised in Connecticut and received his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and medical degree from the University of Connecticut. He subsequently completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Connecticut. Dr. DeBarros completed a prestigious fellowship in colorectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, Florida.
Dr. DeBarros is also a devoted family man with two children.
