To complement that environment, we offer Spiritual and Pastoral Care, a service dedicated to addressing the emotional and spiritual needs of patients, families and staff through appropriate intervention and support in an interfaith context.

Spiritual and Pastoral Care respects and honors diverse theological views and all individual spiritual choices.

Patients, families and staff may contact Spiritual and Pastoral Care for such services as: the continuing ministry of sacrament; presence in birthing; patient visitation and, bereavement counseling for grief recovery.

Special services, such as the Celebration of Life Family Candle Lighting Ceremony, are also available for family members interested in lighting a candle in honor of a new birth or the death of a loved one.

Spiritual and Pastoral Care works with all Banner Estrella departments to link patients with their pastors, priests, rabbi, or other faith-based supporters. We also work closely with the faith community and community social service agencies in Phoenix.
