Catheterization Lab

The Catheterization Lab in Banner Estrella Medical Center provides comprehensive treatment for both cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.

A catheterization procedure is minimally invasive, with physicians entering the heart through arteries in the legs or arms. Physicians use special tools to inject dye, clear blocked arteries, or insert a stent (small stainless steel tube) when needed.

The medical staff at Banner Estrella performs several cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgeries, including:

An element of the Cath Lab's care is a highly skilled and motivated team available 24 hours a day/ 365 days a year. The team begins treating heart attack patients immediately and adheres to American College of Cardiology standards.
