Pre-op, First and Second State PACU

All Interventional Services patients, including endoscopy, surgery and cath lab patients recover in first or second stage PACU. There are 14 beds in First Stage PACU and 24 beds in pre-op/Second Stage PACU, surgeries to recover in the same general area. All caregivers are involved collaboratively with medical staff and physicians in planning patient care. 

General Surgery and Endoscopy

The Interventional Services department has six general surgery suites and two endoscopy suites.

Interventional Cardiology Suites

The cardiology suites, located in Interventional Services, offer highly advanced diagnostic and surgical systems to help ensure the best possible outcomes. The cardiac and cath lab area includes three cath labs, one angioplasty suite, one endovascular suite, two nuclear medicine rooms, 3-D workstations and two heart/lung machines. 

The cardiac interventional team is a unique and highly skilled group of caregivers who can work in both the cardiac cath lab and cardiac surgery. The cardiac interventional team also works closely with, and assists, the general surgery team when needed. 

Medical Imaging and Interventional Radiology Suites

The Medical and Interventional Radiology unit provides a full complement of services including, but not limited to: general radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, MRI, CT and special procedures. 

Rich with the latest in diagnostic imaging technology, the Medical Imaging unit includes a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), two Computerized Tomography (CT) machines, three general radiology rooms, two nuclear medicine rooms, two radiology/fluoroscopy rooms and seven ultrasound machines. 

Like other caregivers in the Interventional Services department, Medical Imaging team members have advanced training and are licensed in their specialty.
