Banner Estrella Medical Center works hard to protect our Women & Infants Services patients privacy during this important time for a family. That is why we have created this extensive virtual tour to allow you to see our unit first hand in the comfort of your own home. Voice over is provided by Amey Clark, RN educator.
Prepared Childbirth Class
This class will help expectant mothers and their coaches feel more prepared, relaxed and knowledgeable about childbirth. You will learn: preparing for labor and delivery, body changes, stages of labor, breathing techniques, and positions for labor and delivery. Please bring two pillows, bottled water, a pen/pencil and dress comfortably. This class is recommended during the seventh month of pregnancy.

Newborn Care Class
This class is for mothers and their support person who plan to deliver at Banner Estrella Medical Center and want information on parenting skills, baby care, and safety. Topics include feeding, diapering, bathing, and comforting the baby. You will also learn baby growth and development, as well as symptoms of illness.

This prenatal class offers breastfeeding techniques, including proper latch-on and release, pumping and storing, nutrition, breast milk production and going back to work. Please bring a support person, your "Banner Parents-to-Be" book, a pillow, and a doll or stuffed animal.
Cost: $25 and registration is required
