Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association advocacy website

The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) budget cuts have been approved by the Legislature, however the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association (AzHHA) has vigorously working to oppose these cuts.  AzHHA has developed a separate website to increase awareness of these cuts and promote their proposed alternative, the special healthcare assessment.

This site, Some Cuts Don’t Heal, provides a wealth of knowledge and also includes a page that allows individuals to communicate directly with legislators. There are two additional websites targeting the AHCCCS funding issue. The sites are:

• Save Healthcare Jobs: A site dedicated to staying informed on the latest news and events regarding the state budget and the economic impact of additional cuts to healthcare.
• Don’t Get Dropped AZ: A site focused on keeping individuals enrolled in AHCCCS. Information is targeted at individuals, community outreach organizations, as well as providers.
