Banner Gateway is now Joint Commission Accredited

I am pleased to announce that Banner Gateway officially received its Joint Commission Accreditation.

This accreditation was effective Aug. 28, 2010 and will last approximately 39 months. You will remember that our four-day survey took place in August and was extremely successful! The surveyors were impressed with several of our clinical practices, our facility and our environment of care documentation. This is a great outcome. I want to thank you for all of your  hard work and dedication to Banner Gateway and to our patients.

As we move into the last two months of the year, I also want to update you on the strategic and tactical plan for Banner Gateway’s medical staff.

We are currently in the middle of our fourth quarter and have results from the first three quarters. Overall, our scores are very impressive, but I know we can give one final push to help us end with success. Most of our scores are green, meaning that they are above our target, but some have still not reached our targets. Green scores not only demonstrate we are meeting our target, but that our patients are truly getting the best and safest care possible.

I know some of these goals are challenging, but if we continue to work together we can achieve them. Thank you for your work thus far and for your continued efforts the remainder of the year. To see a detailed list of the initiatives and scores, please click here.
