Measuring the quality of patient care at Banner Health
Banner Health regularly publishes a system scorecard showing the most up-to-date information regarding our performance in our patient-safety and core measure initiatives.
For core measure initiatives, we look at Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), Pneumonia, (PN), Heart Failure (HF), Surgical Improvement Project (SCIP) and Patient Safety Indicators.
In July, Banner added Pediatric Asthma to the core measure initiatives and expanded Patient Safety to include processes and systems to prevent Sepsis and Central Line Infection. July data for these measures will be available in late September.
For details, please see the Employee website for a document called “2010 Strategic Initiatives Profiles,” under the Strategic Initiatives tab. Medical Staff Services can provide you with a printed copy as well.
