Products that are out and no resupply at this time:

  • Nitroglycerine 50mg vial
  • Sodium thiosulfate injection

Products that supplies are low, resupply is problematic or does not seem stable:

  • Atropine injection:  1mg have 2 flats, ordered extra Atropine syringes for Pyxis
  • BCG vaccine: No estimated recovery date, over 36 vials in stock at this time.
  • Bleomycin: have small amount from APP on hand and Hospira has released product.  McKesson has both brands in stock.
  • Bupivacaine 0.5% PF inj:  0.5% now on intermittent backorder. Have full flat with good Expiration date.
  • Calcium Gluconate inj :  Receiived 4 flats of 10ml. 50ml unavailable at this time
  • Carboplatin inj: have several sizes and several MFG so this has not been a problem.
  • Cyanocobalamin (Vit B-12) inj: intermittent  backorder, 4 flats in stock.
  • Cytarabine inj: Have small amount, mostly used inpatient. They also have small supply.
  • Dacarbazine inj: MFG allocation, 10 & 20ml size…McKesson currently has Teva stock available
  • Dexamethasone: several MFG’s experiencing delays in production, have plenty of the MDV’s…only 2 flats of the 10mg/1ml on hand. BACKORDER IN WITH MCkESSON added 4mg/1ml vials to Pyxis in infusion.
  • Dextrose 5% in water 250ml:. Allocation increased as of Aug 1st
  • Docetaxel 20mg/ml: Sagent no longer making product, McKesson now stocking the Winthrop brand…short dated supply only. Accord now new MFG also with different sizes.
  • Daunorubicin inj: McKesson has some short dated product available, no current patients needing.
  • Doxil 20 & 50mg:  Warned of national back order so stock is being secured for existing patients. Have small amounts of drug now at McKesson outdating mid- year 2015 (3 new patients this week)
  • Doxorubicin inj: On and off backorder, available at this time from APP
  • Diphenhydramine 50mg: 10 flats in pharmacy, intermittent backorder
  • Epinephrine amps:  Received 1 box good dating. On and off backorder
  • Epirubicin: No ETA, have small supply. Hospira brand has become available in McKesson.
  • Etoposide: 100mg vial on allocation. Was able to get 25ml vials from wholesaler last week.
  • Famotidine inj:  Westward brand has become available.
  • Fluticasone-salmeterol (Advair®) HFA 45/21:  recall product, not available. Other strengths are available.
  • Furosemide inj: We continue to see improvements with product availability.  We currently hold a good supply of the 20mg and only 1 flat of 40mg vials at Cancer Center.
  • Gemcitabine: Have small supply at this time with other MFG’s, 200mg and 1GM size is now available through Mylan.
  • Hydroxyzine inj: 100mg/2ml available
  • Ibandronate sodium (Boniva): none on hand.
  • Irrinotecan: Usual supplier on backorder, Phizer brand now available but can no longer use the PPX from Teva which  had good supply.
  • Leucovorin inj:  Sagent currently has stock at McKesson with no supply issues. Can move to more expensive name brand if needed.
  • Magnesium Premixed 2 gram inj: Premix bags now available at Banner AZRX.
  • Magnesium 1gm/2ml inj: 15 flats of 2ml in pharmacy, 4 flats or the 20ml from Hospira.
  • Mesna: no supply issue at this time.
  • Ondansetron 2ml & 20ml sizes currently we have plenty in stock. Intermittent backorder, no longer using PPX product.
  • Oxaliplatin: Usual brand experiencing delays, putting in direct orders with other MFG’s. Received 80 vials from Sagent. Winthrop has released product to McKesson.
  • Phenylephrine 10mg vial:   currently on backorder with no release date. Discontinued by Westward but have 2 flats of 25. McKesson holds good amount of stock at this time.
  • Phytonadione 10mg amps: Expired in October, none in the pharmacy at this time.
  • NS 250ML IV BAG: 9 cases in stock. Allocation has increased on all sizes as of Aug 1st. Plenty in stock
  • Topotecan inj: Small amount available thru McKesson.
  • Sodium phosphate inj: have small amount, manufacturer allocation
  • Sodium Bicarb (NEUT): currently have 4 flats on shelf. Hospira brand released
  • Vincristine: 20 vials currently in stock. McKesson has supply of 1mg, have 20 vials.
  • Vinblastine: Delays in production, received 30 vials
  • Vinorelbine inj: Long term backorder with APP so using other MFG and no problem at this time. Increase in demand may cause issues with other manufacturers. Currently have 10 vials.
