2008 Health Summit  (PDF) -- (Jan. 14, 2007)
Banner Gateway Medical Center will sponsor the 2008 Gilbert Chamber of Commerce Health Summit this Wednesday, January 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Southeast Regional Library, located at the southeast corner of Guadalupe and Greenfield in Gilbert. Free screenings will be available from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m. Screenings include cholesterol, bone density, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), spinal screenings and much more.

Decorate a Tree for Festival of Trees (PDF) -- (Sept. 25, 2007)  The inaugural Festival of Trees benefiting Banner Gateway Medical Center will take place November 16th – November 19th, 2007 on the hospital campus, 1900 N. Higley Road, Gilbert.  Festival of Trees will bring East Valley communities together to celebrate the holiday season while benefiting a significant cause.  Organizations, businesses and individuals sponsor and decorate trees to be displayed throughout the duration of the event.  The result will be a magical winter wonderland for everyone to enjoy!  Major sponsors include Paddock Pools & Spas and Southwest Ambulance.

Banner Gateway sponsors medical careers club (PDF) -- (Feb. 26, 2007) Banner Gateway Medical Center, in conjunction with Gilbert Public Schools, is sponsoring a medical careers club at Highland High School to encourage high school students to explore careers in the health care field. More than 40 students have joined the club, elected officers and held their first few meetings. They have named their group Banner Hawks in recognition of both the Banner Gateway sponsorship and the school’s mascot.

Banner Gateway Tops Out  (PDF) --  (May 23, 2006)  The last piece of structural steel will be placed on Banner Gateway Medical Center during the official Topping Out ceremony at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1 on the southwest corner of U.S. 60 and Higley Road in Gilbert. This steel marks the achievement of a major milestone in the construction of the 167-bed hospital scheduled to open in the early fall of 2007.

Russell Beck, MD, Named Chief of Staff (PDF) -- (May 11, 2006)  Russell Beck, M.D. was recently named Chief of Staff for Banner Gateway Medical Center. Over the next year, Dr. Beck will play an integral role in the development of a medical staff organization to support Banner Health’s newest hospital, scheduled to open in the Town of Gilbert in the fall of 2007. “I am honored to serve as the inaugural chief of staff for Banner Gateway Medical Center,” said Dr. Beck. “I see my role as facilitating the development of a strong medical staff with the highest standards of practice to match the high quality of care for which Banner Gateway has been designed.”

Banner Gateway Breaks New Ground (PDF) -- (Oct. 26, 2005)  Banner Health will break ground on the health system’s newest hospital, Banner Gateway Medical Center at 10 am Wednesday, October 26, 2005, on the southwest corner of US 60 and Higley Road in Gilbert.  “Banner Gateway Medical Center represents a $189 million investment in medical excellence in the East Valley,” said Becky Kuhn, Banner Gateway Medical Center CEO. “Combined with Banner’s existing medical centers, it will create a comprehensive network of health care services for East Valley residents.”
