New Year, new number for Banner Good Samaritan
Get ready to change to "839"
As Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center continues to expand the medical services offered to Arizona and the Southwest, we find our infrastructure must grow with us, including our phone system.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2010, all "239" prefixes at Banner Good Samaritan will change to "839."
Some areas of the hospital, such as Transplant Services and the Banner Blood and Marrow Transplant Program, have already started using the new "839" prefix.
Why are we having to change this series of numbers that may very well be on your refrigerator door, written on your phone book cover or in your personal address book? Under the new “839” prefix, Banner Good Samaritan will have access to about twice as many phone numbers, allowing us to grow our existing service areas and develop several new programs that will benefit our community now and for years to come.
So be sure to take note of this change. You can even "practice" now, as the new prefix is running simultaneously with our current system. And if you have questions, you can reach our hospital operators at (602) 239-2000 or (602) 839-2000.
