Jan. 16: Building Institutes at Banner Good Samaritan
As you know, we are in the midst of investing in the Vision of Banner Good Samaritan as a leading Teaching Hospital throughout the Southwest. Any vision must have an aligned structure and strategy to create sustainability.
We are committed to creating institutes: destinations for patients and their families to experience highly coordinated and differentiated care.
The “soul” of these institutes is Graduate Medical Education. It is the WHY of BGSMC. The care teams in these institutes that train future generations of clinicians and produce scholarship will attract patients from throughout the United States. Each institute will have differentiated clinical programs or centers. To meet criteria for a center, we must demonstrate the following criteria so our unique value proposition is clear to all:
1. Highly coordinated Clinical Care
2. Academic Productivity (Teaching and Scholarship)
3. Clinical Quality Structure and Strategy
We all believe in the uniqueness of 12th and McDowell. It’s time to tell our story. If you are interested in learning more about the many Institute planning groups, please contact our Senior Administrator Gayle Cassidy directly.
Steve Narang, MD, is the chief executive officer at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center.
