Information for Visitors
Family and friends play a key role in the healing process, and they are encouraged to visit during your hospital stay. For the safety and comfort of others, patients are limited to two visitors in the room at once. Additional visitors may wait in designated waiting areas.
Visitor Hours
Visiting hours are between the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. However, visiting hours may vary by unit and individual patient needs. Under special circumstances, when a patient's condition warrants, clinical staff may approve visitors after 9 p.m. These visitors must be registered with Security and are required to wear a visitor identification badge.
To ensure patient safety, seasonal visitor restrictions may be implemented including restrictions for visitors under the age of 12.
Please speak with your nurse about possible visitor restrictions.
- General Visiting Hours
- 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., two visitors per patient at any time
- 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., two visitors per patient at any time
- Maternity (3rd Floor)
- Fathers anytime
- Relatives and friends 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the approval of the patient; two visitors per patient at any time
- Critical/Intensive Care
- For information on visiting the Critical/Intensive Care units located on floors 1, 2, 11, and 12, please ask the nurse or patient representative
Note: Some units may have "quiet times" when no visitors will be permitted. This information will be shared during admission to the unit.
Visitor Parking
Visitors have many options when it comes to parking on campus. Complimentary valet parking is available at the hospital's main entrance.
Parking Garage Fees
A parking garage located near the main entrance (off 12th Street) provides two hours of free parking for visitors. A parking fee is assessed after the first two hours of complimentary parking—three hours is $3; four to eight hours is $4; eight or more hours is $8. Those planning to visit on a frequent and/or regular basis may purchase a $20 weekly parking pass valid for seven consecutive days through the Gift Shop—no refund is given for unused days.
In addition to the garage, several parking lots provide free parking throughout campus.
RV Parking
On-campus RV parking with hookups are available for out-of-town visitors. Please contact hospital Security at (602) 747-4400 for information on RV parking.
Shuttle Transportation
For your convenience, complimentary shuttles travel between visitor parking lots and the main entrance daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. A special discharge parking lot is located on the south side of the hospital off Willetta Street.
