Laura Dreier was determined to help other women facing breast cancer after enduring a double mastectomy and drug therapy following her diagnosis in 1993. In 1999, Dreier and her daughter Jill Alenko made a pledge through the Jonathan Dreier Foundation to the Banner Good Samaritan Breast Center. In recognition of her significant gift, the Breast Center was renamed in her honor and became the Laura Dreier Breast Center at Banner Good Samaritan.
This comprehensive breast and bone health prevention, diagnosis and treatment facility serves thousands of women across the greater Phoenix area each year through such services as annual screening mammograms, bone density studies and diagnostic breast exams.
Dedicated to meeting the breast health needs of underserved women, the Laura Dreier Breast Center established the Reaching Out: Laura Dreier Breast Health Program. Through the program, outreach and clinical nurse breast specialists educate women about the latest breast disease prevention, early detection and treatment information.
