Seating and Mobility Program

If a manual or power wheelchair or scooter has been recommended for safe and independent mobility, our highly trained Seating Specialists can help! 

With so many different kinds of scooters and wheelchairs available, it is important that the appropriate equipment is chosen. 

During a Seating Evaluation, the client is interviewed to determine his or her home and community mobility needs. A physical examination is completed to determine the client’s strength and flexibility.  Finally, scooter or wheelchair options are discussed with the client. 

Equipment may be tried out in the client’s home before a final decision is made.

Our Seating Specialists are advocates for the client and help make sure that the correct equipment is delivered and future needs are met.
