The Banner Good Samaritan Rehabilitation Institute offers cost-effective, goal-driven outpatient therapy services for patients recovering from physical or cognitive injuries or illnesses including (but not limited to):


Neuropsychology
The staff teaches compensation, modification of lifestyle and adjustment. Services include:

  • Complete neuropsychological evaluations
  • Follow-up short term intervention for review of evaluation results

Occupational Therapy
Therapists focus on functional daily living skills to improve motor, cognitive and social skills. Services include:

  • Dynamic/static balance training for Activities of Daily Living
  • Hand and upper extremity rehabilitation
  • Upper extremity splinting
  • Adaptive equipment training
  • Client/family/caregiver training
  • Vision
  • Cognition
  • Activities of Daily Living
  • Community re-entry

Physical Therapy
Therapists provide mobility evaluation and training. Services include:

  • Balance training
  • Body mechanics instruction/Ergonomics
  • Coordination with orthotic and prosthetic specialists

  • Work conditioning

Speech/Language Pathology

Licensed therapists help recuperating
patients negotiate everyday obstacles to
reduce falls.
Seating Evaluation and Prescription - Evaluation of the client's present wheelchair or power scooter with recommendations that will improve posture, comfort, flexibility, and mobility to increase function and independence.

Lymphedema Treatment - Treatments last approximately 90 minutes, 4-5 days a week for an average of 3-4 weeks. Focus of treatment is:

  • Manual lymph drainage
  • Multi-layer compression
  • Therapeutic exercise
  • Skin care
  • Education

Pelvic Incontinence - Banner Good Samaritan offers treatment for incontinence, without surgery, without pain, and without side effects. The treatment includes pelvic and related muscle rehabilitation and behavioral modification techniques which is highly successful. Incontinence can be significantly reduced or even eliminated.

Vestibular and Balance Therapy - For clients, with vestibular disorders and/or neurological conditions that may have resulted in balance deficits or dizziness. Therapy may include balance retraining, exercises to reduce dizzy symptoms, and instruction on a variety of compensatory strategies.
