From inpatient therapy that begins in the hospital’s main tower to specialized rehabilitation and therapy programs at the Banner Good Samaritan Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital meets the varied rehabilitative needs of its patients.
The Banner Good Samaritan Rehabilitation Institute is a 63-bed rehabilitation center and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, and serves patients through all phases of the rehabilitation process.
Whether addressing orthopedic needs, stroke, spinal cord, trauma or acquired brain injuries, the Banner Good Samaritan Rehabilitation Institute provides an array of specialized programs designed to treat even the most adverse injuries and conditions.
The Rehabilitation Institute partners with several diagnosis-related organizations including the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association, American Stroke Association, ALS Association and American Parkinson’s Disease Association, to ensure patients have access to and assistance coordinating additional support, education and counseling services.
A sampling of the Institute’s highly specialized rehabilitation programs includes an Adapted Driving Program for disabled patients who want to drive; a Comprehensive Neurosciences Center for those dealing with such serious neurological issues as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy and ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease); and an assortment of outpatient rehabilitation programs.
