Save a Life, Be an Organ Donor

More than 100,500 people are waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant in the U.S.; more than 2,150 of those are Arizonans. Tragically, 18 people on the national waiting list die every day because no organ was available.

Banner Health and Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center—one of Arizona’s leading transplant centers for kidney, liver and pancreas transplantation—are strong partners with the Donor Network of Arizona and the Arizona Coalition for Transplantation in raising awareness for organ donation.

One donor can save several lives through solid organ transplants—heart, lungs, liver, kidneys and pancreas. Dozens more benefit through donations of corneas, skin, bone, large veins and other tissues. Several local surveys continue to show that Arizonans are overwhelmingly supportive of organ donation.
