For Our Patients
Banner Good Samaritan Trauma Services is immediately ready to care for critically injured patients as soon as they arrive to our hospital.
Upon arrival, patients are taken directly into a specially equipped room for evaluation, stabilization and treatment.
We begin with a full physical examination, accompanied by a variety of tests and procedures. Once evaluation is done and the patient is stable, they may be transported to other departments for more tests.
When all studies are complete, the patient may return to the Trauma Room for further evaluation and trauma team consultation. After this, the patient's injuries may require them to go to:
- Trauma Designated Surgical Suite
- Trauma Intensive Care Unit
- Trauma Progressive Care Unit
- Medical / Surgical Unit
After being admitted to one of these units, patients will progress to being discharged with continued follow-up in the trauma clinic. Some may be transferred to a rehabilitation center for further care. Patients may be discharged home if no serious injuries are found.
Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center's Trauma Services is dedicated to helping patients and their families during this difficult time.
