William Clewell, MD
William Clewell, MD, received his medical degree from Stanford University, completed one year of pediatrics training at the University of Rochester and finished his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University Hospital. He completed his Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship training at the University of Colorado. Dr. Clewell served on the faculty of the University of Colorado School of Medicine from 1976 until moving to Phoenix in 1987.
Dr. Clewell is the Medical Director of Obstetric Ultrasound at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center and a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Dr. Clewell is a member of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Telemedicine Association and a founding member of the International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society. His areas of special interest are cervical incompetence, fetal diagnosis and fetal therapy.
