Birthing Services
Every birth is a unique experience, and the highly skilled and compassionate staff in the Banner Good Samaritan Maternity Center provides comprehensive specialty care, family education and support.
The Maternity Center has a designated entrance on the hospital’s third floor, with designated parking.
Our doctors and nurses provide expertise and experience in caring for some of the most complex pregnancies and deliveries. To aid them in their efforts, Banner Good Samaritan has implemented an intelligent OB information system, which uses an electronic medical records system that provides physicians and nurses with improved monitoring and care documentation, as well as customized care guidelines, to prevent medical errors and provide better, safer care to mothers and babies.
Labor & Delivery
Women experiencing labor are first admitted into a triage area where labor is assessed by a highly experienced and caring staff. An emergency delivery room is also located in this area.
After careful assessment, laboring mothers are moved into the Maternity Center delivery area, also located on the third floor. A well-baby is located nearby.
Newborns are often placed with their mothers within minutes of delivery to enhance the bonding experience, and are cared for as a couplet throughout their stay.

Visiting hours are flexible so families can share in the experience. Every baby receives a hearing test to identify hearing impairments and ensure each child has the best opportunity for normal development.
