We recognize that every birth is a unique experience. Our highly skilled and compassionate staff work to provide that special memory for you and your family through our comprehensive specialty care, family education and support.
Our experienced doctors and nurses are prepared to care for the most routine to the most complex pregnancies and deliveries, and for any emergencies that may arise.
Labor & Delivery
When it's time to come to the hospital, you will find that we are easy to locate. Our department has its own designated parking, along with a special maternity entrance.
You will be assessed in our obstetrical triage area, where our experienced and caring staff members will evaluate your labor status. When you are admitted, you will be moved one of our private labor/delivery/recovery (LDR) rooms.
From the moment you arrive, your comfort is a priority. This includes:
- Twenty private LDR (labor/delivery/recovery) rooms
- LDR rooms furnished with recliners, birthing beds, adjustable lighting and color televisions with a relaxation channel
- Family waiting lounge
- Relaxing labor options such as birthing balls and music
- Comprehensive infant security system designed to keep babies safe and secure
- 24-hour in-house anesthesia services
After your baby is born, both of you will be taken care of together to allow you time to bond with your new baby. If your baby requires more observation, we have a Transition Nursery nearby.
Post Partum Care
After your recovery period, you and your baby will be moved to a room in our post-partum unit. Many of our rooms are private and feature large windows with views of the Phoenix area.
You and your baby will be cared for as a couplet by a nurse who coordinates care for both of you. Babies can room-in with their mothers during the entire hospital stay.
Moms who would like some rest also have the option of keeping their babies in our nursery. We provide a comprehensive infant security system for our babies in this unit.
Visiting hours support a family-centered care philosophy.
Education on your postpartum care and your baby’s care is a major focus. Our nursing staff works with you and your family’s individual needs to provide the information and support you will need.
Breastfeeding is highly encouraged, with lactation consultants and nursing staff available to assist you. Education on breastfeeding benefits as well as tips for beginning and continuing breastfeeding after discharge is provided.
