Banner Heart Hospital exists to make a difference in people’s lives through excellent patient care.

Banner Heart Hospital opened its doors in November 2000. First-class physicians working with an experienced staff provide the latest heart care technology in an environment of clinical excellence, compassion and healing.
This specialty heart hospital, adjacent to Banner Baywood Medical Center, expanded from 60 beds to 111 in early 2004. Nearly doubling in size, we are now one of the largest freestanding heart hospitals in the nation.
We offer:
- Twenty-eight cardiovascular intensive care beds
- Sixty-seven telemetry beds
- A 16-bed interventional stay unit
- A non-invasive cardiology unit
In addition to telemetry and intensive care services, this state-of-the-art facility also has six operating room suites, six cardiac catheterization labs and two electrophysiology labs.
The facility employs more than 500 health care professionals, who specialize in heart care. More than 200 volunteers give their time at this facility, as well. The hospital has a growing medical staff of nearly 450 including cardiologists, cardiovascular and vascular surgeons, and other primary care and specialty physicians.
