Banner Heart Hospital

Construction Map

Beginning Feb. 6, Banner Heart Hospital will embark on a $30 million construction project that will affect traffic entering and exiting both Banner Heart and Banner Baywood Medical Center, two hospitals on one campus. Specifically, traffic around the Emergency department  and public parking areas near the Heart Hospital will be disrupted.

The construction will continue until early 2010. Traffic disruptions are expected to cease fall 2009.

Patients and visitors can expect to see more valet attendants to assist with parking, additional directional signs and dedicated areas for emergency vehicles. To help minimize noise, complimentary ear plugs will be provided to patients.

The construction began at the start of this month and is expected to last a year. The project will add much-needed operating suites and catheterization labs. In tandem with the Banner Heart expansion, Banner Baywood is also constructing a new Emergency department. The 50,000 square-foot facility is expected to open to patients this fall.

The map below is a guide for patients and visitors to use while they are at Banner Heart Hospital. Complimentary valet service will continue, and visitors are encouraged to use it.
