PHOENIX (April 1, 2015) – As the flu and cold season winds down, Banner Health has lifted visitor restrictions at all of its facilities. Restrictions for the 2014-2015 cold and flu season were implemented last Oct. 1; a little earlier than expected because of the outbreak of Enterovirus D68 across the nation.
Volunteer pet therapy dog beats the odds - twice
MESA, Ariz. (Nov. 18, 2014) – Who doesn’t love a good dog story? Dogs are our companions. They give us unconditional love when we need it the most. Twelve-year-old Charlie volunteers in the pet therapy program at Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital. The Yorkshire Terrier mix provides that unconditional love and support to hundreds of patients every year as they heal from their ailments.
