Banner Home Infusion Therapy
What is Home Infusion?
Infusion therapy is any medication therapy delivered by a needle and can include medications that are given intravenously (IV), intramuscularly (IM) or subcutaneously.
Banner Home Care provides infusion medications for use in the home. Many times, patients must receive infusion medications for many weeks at a time, but they do not need to be in the hospital.
At Banner Home Care, we provide a variety of infusion therapies in the home including:
- total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
- chemotherapy medications.
Your doctor places the prescription order for your infusion therapy with our infusion pharmacy. Our infusion pharmacy then prepares and arranges for the delivery of these medications directly to your home. Our skilled nursing team will then come to your home to teach you and administer these medications as needed.
