Banner Home Infusion Therapy

What is Home Infusion?

Infusion therapy may be defined as any medication therapy that is delivered by a needle. This may include medications that are given intravenously (IV), intramuscularly (IM) or subcutaneously. At Banner Home Care, we provide infusion medications for use in the home. Many times, physicians need their patients to receive infusion medications for many weeks at a time, but do not necessarily need the patient to stay in the hospital.

At Banner Home Care, we provide a variety of infusion therapies in the home including antibiotics, hydration, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), anticoagulation, anti-nausea and chemotherapy medications.  Your doctor places the prescription order for your infusion therapy with our infusion pharmacy. Our infusion pharmacy then prepares and arranges for the delivery of these medications directly to your home. Our skilled nursing team will then come to your home to teach you and administer these medications as needed.
