Here are some important payroll points for people transitioning from the Gentiva/Odyssey system into Banner Health.

The last pay period on the Gentiva/Odyssey system will be for hours worked through Nov. 30, 2012 and will be paid on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012.
As of Dec. 1, 2012 Odyssey employees will transition to Banner Health’s pay system AND have a different pay date. The first Banner pay period will be for hours worked Dec. 1, 2012 through Dec. 8, 2012 and paid on Thursday Dec.13, 2012.
All checks will be distributed on Thursdays and will be processed through JP Morgan/Chase Bank.
Banner Health does not print direct deposit advices or deliver pay checks so after Dec. 1, 2012 if the employee wishes to print a copy of their payment detail they can do so through Employee Manager Self Service (EMSS), which can be accessed from the Banner Health Employee Web site, as well as from www.bannerhealth.com.
For employees who don’t elect to have direct deposit, effective Dec.1, 2012 Banner Health will print all live checks at the Banner Corporate Center – Mesa. ALL checks are distributed via US mail to the employees’ home address on record.
Banner Health complies with all Internal Revenue Service and/or Social Security Administration guidelines surrounding taxable limits when wages are earned under multiple Employer Tax ID numbers. Employees who are owed refunds for taxes paid due to the transition of Odyssey into Banner Health are encouraged to file for a refund with the appropriate taxing authority at the end of the 2012 taxable year.
