
Health Care for a Growing Community
Banner Health is building in northern Pinal County to address the growing health care needs in the county and Southeast Valley. The 80- acre medical campus at Combs and Gantzel Roads, adjacent to the Town of Queen Creek, will include a hospital and other associated services.
Construction is Underway
The first phase of construction began in late April 2008. The 220,000- square-foot hospital will open late in 2009 with:
- 24 inpatient acute care beds including intensive care
- A full-service Emergency room
- Four surgical suites for inpatient and outpatient surgeries
- Medical Imaging Services
- Laboratory Services
- Medical Office Building to house physicians and other medical services.
Room to Grow with the Community
Banner Ironwood will be built to expand quickly with community growth. The first patient tower will open with 24 beds and will be able to accommodate close to 100 beds when fully equipped. In total, more than 500 beds and supporting health services could be built on the 80-acre site.
