Members of the Volunteer Services department are ambassadors for Banner Ironwood Medical Center and important additions to our customer service team. Our volunteer program provides flexibile scheduling and placement to accommodate the interests and availability of volunteers who want to learn new skills and give back to the community. The goal of the Volunteer Services department is to maximize our volunteers' talent by providing opportunities that expand and use their skills.

Getting Started

  • Volunteer Services at Banner Ironwood is open to adults age 18+ who can serve at least one four-hour shift each week for a minimum of 100 hours.
  • Applications are reviewed weekly. You may be selected to interview if your interests and availability match current openings.
  • Volunteer position offers are contingent upon clearing a background check and health screening conducted at Banner’s expense. Health requirements include TB skin testing, current immunizations that should include MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) and chicken pox, as well as seasonal flu vaccination.
