Dr. Shiva Birdi, Critical Care Section Chief
Shiva Birdi, MD, has been named critical care section chief at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center,
Birdi is currently a staff intensivist and anesthesiologist at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio and a staff intensivist at Medina Hospital and Lakewood Hospital, both in Ohio.
Birdi received his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic. In 2008, Birdi served as chief fellow during his fellowship in critical care medicine at Cleveland Clinic and received a certificate of appreciation for “extraordinary effort and compassion.” In 2011, he received a presidential citation from the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Birdi is also a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology and holds a special certification in critical care medicine.
