Learning Center
Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center maintains a comprehensive Learning Center that provides patients and their families information on a wide range of cancer topics related to treatments, side effects, medications, nutrition, coping and supportive care.
Our specialized oncology library offers free access to a wealth of materials including pamphlets, books, DVDs, full-text medical journals and a variety of reference databases. We are on the first floor near the main lobby, .
We also offer the Cancer Health Institute database. This interactive, touch-screen resource provides trusted health information from the National Cancer Institute and has links to other reliable national cancer organizations and associations.
For your convenience, the Learning Center loans iPads, loaded with music, books, movies and/or educational materials about cancer, to patients for use while on-site.
Our trained medical librarian can assist with researching specific medical topics and connecting to a multitude of accurate and current health information resources, both online and print.
