At Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, we appreciate being members of the Glendale community and want to do our part to keep our community strong and healthy.

Teen Health Event – Keepin' It Real
When it comes to overall health and safety for teenagers, sometimes parents can find it difficult to talk to them about it. Banner Thunderbird Medical Center is out to change all that.
From 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 11, middle and high school students will be able to receive important health and wellness information from Banner Health and other local organizations focused on teens at this free event.
Teens and parents will participate in separate sessions on topics such as: internet safety, bullying, body image and eating disorders, teen dating, personal health and more.

A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls
This series of workshops is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels. Participants learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable; set realistic goals to increase activity; change their environment to reduce fall risk factors; and, exercise to increase strength and balance. This class is a series of 8 classes.
Class dates are: January 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13, 20 and 27.
Event will take place in the Banner Thunderbird Lower Level Conference Room 1 from 10 to noon. No walk-ins will be accepted.
