At Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, we appreciate being members of the Glendale community and want to do our part to keep our community strong and healthy.

Heart Health Lectures

The Heart Health community lecture series is free and open to the public, and will be held in Conference Room 6 on the lower level of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, 5555 W. Thunderbird Road, Glendale. Call (602) 230-2273 (CARE) to reserve your seat. Registration is not required, but recommended.

  • “What is Heart Failure?” is slated for 5:30 - 7 p.m. Oct. 8.

In Living Color series

When: 1 - 2:30 p.m. on Thursdays from Oct. 16 to Nov. 20
Where: Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, 3A Conference Room
What: “In Living Color,” an art themed support group, is returning to Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. The free event series is open to anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer. No prior art experience is necessary and participates are welcome regardless of stage of treatment or recovery. Reserve: Space is limited; those interested are asked to reserve their seat by calling (602) 865-5450. 

Look Good, Feel Better

When: 5 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29
Where: Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, 3A Conference Room
What: A free program for cancer patients, “Look Good…Feel Better,” will offer cosemetology tips to cancer patients. Cosmetology professionals will help participants learn about skin changes and hair loss; care of a wig, scarves, turbans and hats; dry skin and discolored nails. To register, call Kelly Clark-Gruber at (602) 865-5450.
