Patients who have a family member or friend offer love and support while they are in the hospital have a better healing experience. That's why we encourage patients to select a particular family member or friend to serve as a "Care Partner" during hospitalization. Being a Care Partner gives the individual the opportunity to be close, active and meaningfully involved in the patient's care. From accompanying the patient to tests and treatments to assisting with their personal care, Care Partners serve as the patient's advocate working in partnership with the entire health care team. Additionally, Care Partners receive a 15 percent discount in the hospital cafeteria.
