The Emergency department at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center is proud to serve the emergency care needs of the residents in the West Valley. Featuring board certified emergency physicians, specially-trained nurses and support staff, Banner Thunderbird’s Emergency department is well-equipped to diagnose and treat a patient's specific injury or illness. At Banner Thunderbird, we recognize that emergencies are not planned and are often stressful situations. That’s why we’re working to make sure a visit to a Banner Health Emergency department goes as smoothly as possible. We’re working to improve the design of our Emergency departments as well as our processes in order to ensure that patients are seen by a physician and receive care as quickly as possible.

Communication plays a key role in the successful course of treatment in the Emergency department. Language and interpretive services are available at all Banner facilities; please ask the nurse or Emergency department receptionist about these services.
