Banner Thunderbird offers the following heart care services:

Our new Heart and Vascular Center features state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat a variety of heart conditions. Many of today's treatments are minimally invasive, allowing faster recovery and less pain.

In 2011, Banner Thunderbird Medical Center received Heart Failure Accreditation from Healthcare Accreditation Colloquium, a  nationally recognized organization dedicated to improving care and survival rates for heart failure patients.

Additionally, Banner Thunderbird is an accredited Chest Pain Center, as designated by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.

Hospitals receiving these accreditations have met or exceeded a wide set of stringent criteria and established quality measures. Additionally, the hospital must pass an on-site review by an evaluation team, which determines if the hospital can demonstrate expertise in several key areas including treatment for heart failure patients, patient education, staff competencies and community outreach.
