At Banner Thunderbird, the Red Zone is a child-friendly seven-bed unit within our Emergency Department. Dedicated to our youngest patients, the Red Zone is open daily from noon until 3 a.m.

Our emergency physicians are highly skilled in caring for children, and pediatric-trained and certified emergency care nurses work with our team of pediatric professionals during medical emergencies.

We’re ready to handle everything from minor emergencies like cuts, sprains and ear infections to life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
