Our new, redesigned Pediatric Emergency department brings together specially trained staff and Child Life Specialists in a calming, informative and assuring environment for children and parents. All patients receive care from medical professionals who specialize in caring for children.

Banner Thunderbird’s state-of-the-art Pediatric Emergency department has 14 treatment areas. The entire facility, from the waiting area to treatment rooms, was meticulously designed to meet the unique needs of pediatric patients. Those features include:

Banner Thunderbird’s Pediatric Emergency department is prepared to handle everything from minor emergencies such as fevers, cuts and sprains to life-threatening injuries.
Children who require additional care can be admitted to Banner Thunderbird Children’s Center located on campus near our pediatric emergency department.
Our medical team works closely with community pediatricians to ensure that our patients receive the most comprehensive pediatric emergency care.
