It’s never easy to hospitalize a sick child! In the 24-bed Children’s Center at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, we strive to ease your anxiety and your child’s fears in a warm, caring unit.

Our friendly, knowledgeable pediatric professionals will help you understand each part of your child’s care and keep you informed every step of the way.

Because we know that visitors play an important role in a child’s recovery, parents and family members may visit as often as possible.

So that children feel safe in their hospital rooms, we have a designated treatment room where all procedures – like blood draws – are done. After any treatment, children may select a special toy from Andrea’s Closet.

 And because we also understand that most children have very definite food likes and dislikes, Banner Thunderbird’s Food and Nutrition Services keep kid-friendly food, specially selected by our nutritionists, such as pizza, chicken nuggets and grilled-cheese sandwiches on the menu.
